The purpose of this course is to prepare participants to support Supply operations by familiarizing them with the tasks they will perform as a Red Cross worker in Supply when assigned to a regional or larger disaster response. The course also provides detailed training on the Disaster Requisition (Form 6409) procedures for requesting and obtaining supplies, tracking the requisition process, and completing the Three-Way match.

The purpose of Powered Industrial Truck Operator is to prepare and certify participants to support powered industrial truck operations by familiarizing them with the rules, regulations and responsibilities that they will perform as a forkliftoperator.

Identify powered industrial truck types, parts and controls
Know about powered industrial truck stability and load handling
Demonstrate powered industrial truck safe driving practices and other safety standards
Inspect powered industrial truck before operation
Operate a powered industrial truck after taking a driving test
Join us for a hands-on experience in the proper technique of pulling a trailer during an operation and the activities associated with it. Participants will learn about the skills, abilities and knowledge needed by Mass Care/Logistics workers and how they can become involved in Shelter Operations in their region. The course emphasizes safety in all aspects of the task.
Prerequisites: Disaster Cycle Services: An Overview Participants need to have a current, unencumbered driver’s license for their respective state and must have personal auto insurance. Be a Red Cross approved driver.
